Hugh Reeves is an associate in the Information Technology and Intellectual Property Team. His preferred areas of practice include technology transfers, copyright, patent, trademark and trade secret law as well as Information Technology. He also has experience in the areas of data protection and privacy laws.
Born in 1987, Hugh Reeves was educated at the University of Lausanne (BLaw 2008, MLaw 2010) and completed the Geneva Bar program for trainees at the University of Geneva (Ecole d'Avocature, 2011). He furthered his studies at the University of California, Berkeley (LL.M. 2016, with a certificate of specialization in Law and Technology). He was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2013. Prior to joining Walder Wyss, he worked for a boutique law firm in Geneva specializing in banking law and IT law. He also worked for an international auditing company as well as a clerk of the Juvenile Court of the Canton of Vaud. Moreover, he has work experience as a foreign associate in a leading Silicon Valley law firm.
Hugh Reeves works mainly in French and English. He also speaks German. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
